The new dizzy helped...   but it still wasn't right, although the old dizzy did pretty much fall apart so needed changing anyway but in the end rechecked the timing belt....   it had slipped!    This explains why it ran OK then refused to.

Sorted that starts on the button and sounds fairly lively to say the least.

The fuel leak reappeared...   Nige's mate Al turned up...   he services workshop compressors and the like and came up with some goo taht is as I write this hardening on the union and will stop far higher pressures than are in my fuel system.   That said will probably never get that union apart again.

Also one last sting in the tail ....    the backbox came off a diesel T25... a blown up one...   clearly that engine dumped a huge amount of oily clag down the exhaust in its dying moments...  once the back box warmed right through it started belching black smoke and fumes as the stuff in the bottom of the box burned off.

So jobs for sunday are check the leak, remove the back box and hang it up and apply some fire to it and get it cleared out then we should be good to go finally :)
