People who know me know that I love Billy's on Grand.  Some also wonder why I don't go to a whole lot of other bars regularly...well here is a short list of reasons why in honor of my new profile pic:

1.  Its only 4 blocks away from where I live!  I can walk there and stumble home.  Brilliant.

2.  Check out my friend list....Molly is one of the bartenders, as is Steve, Cassandra is a server and her sister Brianna used to be (she ditched me for the Onion).  I met Melanie aka Ultraviolet there and found out she is one of my neighbors (that night was rough by the way because upon meeting Melanie she said hello by making me drink tequila, which is a big no-no is my book...I think I stumbled home weezy about 15 minutes after meeting her).  So I've met a lot of rad people there.

3.  I don't get carded!  Whether it be because I look like an old boob or because I am there a lot make no difference to me, it's just convenient to be able to walk in and not have to have a stamp on my damn hand.

4.  It's a good place to watch Timberwolves & Twins.

5.  Knowing the bartenders names makes it easier to get drinks!  You just have to be polite about it.

6.  When I moved up here for my first year of college my parents and I found the place after I moved in and I had my first meal while not living at home there.

7.  It's where I was on my 21st.  That night was roooooooough, since my birthday is in December all of my legal friends were finishing up finals and couldn't come out to celebrate with me.  There was only Josh the Fun.  I pregamed it with disgusting Mickeys beer and when I got there The Fun bought me a Purple Rain...which was about 95% booze and 5% whatever else was in it...which leads me to my next point...

8.  The drinks are strong...you order a mixed drink and you'll make faces you didn't know were possible.  "It'll get you drrrrrrrunk"

9.  Laaaaaaaaaaaaaadies everywhere....even if they never talk to me.  Eye candy never hurt anyone...hell its better than watching the hockey on TV!

10.  Not one of my reasons, but Mr. Luke LaRock has "met" or initiated his last two relationships at the place...at least someone has some luck there...oh yeah Jobber met his current girlfriend there too.

11.  Tate!  The drunken Irishmen!  Nuff said.

There are plenty more reasons why I love the place but I don't need to list them here.  Just show up and ask me why yourself.
