The new album Feeler Of Pure Joy is released!!
It is a collection of songs written by Ryan Driver and performed by Ryan Driver (voice, nylon-string guitar, analog synth, flute, thumb-reeds) with various groupings of Andrew Downing (bass), Jean Martin (drums), Martin Arnold (electric guitar, hurdy-gurdy), Eric Chenaux (electric guitar), and Jennifer Castle (voice). It will be findable through fine record stores, through the Rat-drifting website, etc.
1. You Are Beside Me: Castle and Driver sing of their desire to sing about time. 2. Time And Trouble: The lonesome country raga of ecstatic indecision. 3. It's Nothing: A bouncy little number about nothing. 4. When Were You In Mexico? Driver asks this musical question amidst crows, the devil, clouds. 5. No One Can Say Too Well: Arnold's cat-like guitar swirls playfully amidst the unknowable. 6. That's Which Way The Water Falls: Up-tempo country tune about happenings and conditions. 7. Oh The World Between Us: A dreamy ballad mostly about distance. 8. Spinning Towers: Cautionary anthem in falsetto. 9. Why The Road? A step back into whatever it is that was stepped forward into. 10. The Thousand Feathers Of My Love: xox 11. Feeler Of Pure Joy: Driver claims to be such a thing in this bizarre closer.
