This is a clip of the Chinese film, "The Botanist's Daughter"

It's stars our friend, Lin Dongfu. He gave us a copy to watch while we were in Shanghai. The version we saw had English subtitles of the French overdubbed translation from Mandarin.

Filming actually took place in Vietnam, as the Chinese government wouldn't grant the needed permits. Apparently, the government over there feels being a homosexual is wrong. So wrong, if fact, that even making a film about it is unthinkable.



This is just one clip. The entire film is up on youtube. Its broken up into 11 parts.

For the record, Dongfu is one of the sweetest people one could ever hope to meet. He is THE DUDE. When Stars Wars was overdubbed in Mandarin and released in China, he was the voice of Darth Vader. Thats way cool
