Guru's Jazzmatazz Vol. 4, entirely produced by Superproducer Solar was released on July 31st through 7 Grand Records/Koch. We successfully released a music video for the lead single, "State of Clarity" featuring Common and Bob James, which went 1 on the College charts, as well as completed both a European and US tour with sold out shows in each market. This album is in Billboard's top 20 this week, with a steady increase to follow in the upcoming weeks. All these efforts were done independently without the backing of any major label resources.

We have just proved that independent labels such as ourselves are the ones to set the trends for major Hip Hop labels as we did with our video for "State of Clarity" using animation to express the theme of the song. Two months after our video was featured on MTVU, BETJ, VH-1, Noggin, FUSE TV, Myspace.com and MyspaceTV, major hip hop labels began using similar themes of animation to express the views of their music videos, where as previously they utilized traditional resources of wealth, pornography and violence to hype their videos.

Much respect due out to our Jazzmatazz and REAL Gangstarr fans that went out and bought the Jazzmatazz Vol. 4 and attended our shows. That is what you call "supporting the artists." We appreciate all the love on comments and messages, but if you feeling the album, then get it. We have links on our sites and its in every major music retail store.
