Ammoye and MTV Canada are “Best Friends!”
Canada’s fastest rising Reggae songstress, Ammoye, has taken her musical career to a new high! Teaming with MTV Canada, Ammoye’s song “Best Friends” was featured in an episode of the networks newest series entitled “Over the Bolts.”
The television show follows the lives of Canadian Olympic snowboarders and their journey leading up to the 2010 Olympics (which take place February 12th to 28th in Vancouver, Canada). The series airs Sundays at 10pm on MTV Canada.
The song “Best Friends” was written by Ammoye, and features Hip Hop / R&B artist and producer Sav. The music behind the lyrics was composed by Malik who called themselves the ‘musical trio’ for this project. “I got to perform to an alternative music genre which I really enjoyed” says Ammoye. “We gelled really well which came through in the song!” Ammoye’s song “Catch Up” will also be featured in an upcoming episode.
