We haven't even got to the London Preview yet and already out thoughts are running towards Cannes....:

OK so we've submitted to the Cannes Festival… Screen the film… Pick up an award or two (no trouble!), but what's causing all the excitement is that good ol' Lee of Soho Films (our associate producers) has swung us an invite to supposedly the party to go to.  Not only are me, Paul and Lee on the guest list but also the likes of Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Sting.  This could be a nuisance – they'll be plaguing me to sign their copies of the DVD all evening no doubt.  Still, London lads is London lads so I'll do my best to be nice.

Added to this Lee has also swung it so that on gigantic plasma screens going on throughout the party 3 mins of Hamlet is going to be playing as part of a continuous loop.  Whoa!!!  Shouldn't surprise me really, Lee is a charming essential to any party, and his parties are definite no misses on the London film circuit.  Stark contrast to miserable old me, sitting in the corner with my pint of bitter moaning about the weather.  Still I'll be happy so long as I have a bacon buttie.

Wait a minute!  They don't do bitter in Cannes!  The weather is always great so you can't moan about it and you can't get a bacon buttie for love or money!!  That's it, I'm not going!  Not, not, not!!!

On the other hand though, my French is fluent and it'll be nice to get my tongue round a bit of French again.  Hee, hee, hee….
