I just found out about a new review of the horror compilation that has one of my stories. I only know what was said about my story by Martin Andersson -
"An alien invasion, just as insidious as the one in “The
Whisperer in Darkness”, is the subject of “Rest in Peace, Jeremy Crandall” by
Gary Hill. It starts out as a crackpot conspiracy tale of the kind you can find
in less reputable magazines than Fortean Times, but as it gains momentum it
unfolds into the story of a genuine cosmic threat (resembling that depicted in
the film The Arrival) against insignificant mankind. I will not go into the fate
of the narrator – like Francis Wayland Thurston of “The Call of Cthulhu” he
knows that he is doomed, but mere death is not what awaits him."
