Saw Madonna tonight for the first time. Crowd of about 45,000. Police closed off streets for blocks around the venue. Radio stations had stages and vid screens set up all over outside.

Never been a flag-waver for her, but I've bought the odd album and danced in clubs to her remixes over the years.

Waited 45 minutes to get in -- sheer lunacy inside. Reminiscent of those soccer riots I see on TV. Almost got crushed by the crowd.

Having grown up with music as my passion, I've attended dozens of concerts but never have I seen anything like this. It seemed every move during her 2-hour set was thoughtfully choreographed. Amazing where she gets her stamina from.

It was a spectacle to say the least. Between her consistent vocals, songwriting and dance abilities, she really is an amazing talent.

And hats off to the enormous crew who helped her pull it all off.
