CHRISTOPHER STREET WEST WELCOMES NOMINATIONS FOR 2009 HONOREES.

LOS ANGELES January 28, 2009

Christopher Street West would like to announce that submissions are currently welcome for nominations of the 2009 Honoree Awards to be presented during the LA PRIDE Celebration, taking place in the City of West Hollywood, June 12-14, 2009.

As an integral part of a legacy spanning 39 years, The Christopher Street West Honoree Awards are a defining tribute to LGBT heritage and individuals such as Morris Kight, Harvey Milk and Connie Norman, whose early work within our humanitarian movement bravely paved a road for generations to follow.  Each award carries meaningful significance recognizing the incredible dedication of those working to uphold PRIDE values by advocating for the rights and equality of the LGBT community.  With a united spirit that continues to build momentum, deserving nominations are encouraged from all community members in order to inclusively represent the dedicated and dynamic diversity of the entire LGBT community.
