It is college football season once again, and I could not be more stoked! Raise your hand if you were excited about Boston College vs. Central Michigan last night (which actually ended up being a pretty good game after all). I was, because it signaled the start of the ACC football season. South Carolina also looked decent last night, winning a conference opener with their backup quarterback, who goes by the unfortunate name Smelley.
These and all other games will become irrelevant to me for three hours on Saturday night, when the marquee matchup of the week will take place. My Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will host the #3-ranked (or #2, depending who you ask) Notre Dame Fighting Irish. If I'm being honest, their offense is probably as good as ours, and their defense is probably better. They should probably win by a score of about 31-17. But they don't play games on paper, and that's why I'll be there Saturday night, screaming my lungs out and probably at least a little bit inebriated. GO JACKETS!
