So...Saturday was eventful. The GT campus was all the way live with tailgating. A friend and I ended up going to Rocky Mountain Pizza to watch afternoon games and drink beer before our night game. My friend ended up drinking, shall we say, a little too much? When our third and final friend in the gameday party showed up, we headed toward the stadium, but my inebriated friend had some trouble walking there. He also forgot I hadn't given him his ticket yet. When he tried to get into the stadium without one, he was denied admission. When I tried to give him the ticket, they still wouldn't admit him because he was too obviously drunk. I told him to sit down somewhere, drink water, eat something, sober up, come back and join us later. That was the last I saw or heard from him until Sunday morning, when my friends and I found out he had spent the night in Fulton County Jail. We spent most of Sunday finding out what we needed to do, gathering his bail, paying it, waiting for him to call us when he was released, then picking him up. Thankfully yesterday we did get to have a Labor Day cookout. So yay for that!
Oh yeah, Tech lost, which you already knew if you checked scores or watched the game. But I think staying in the game until the last minute against the number 2 team in the country speaks pretty well for our team, and I hope it's a good sign for the season.
