welcome to the Summer Edition
june 24th was an eclectic evening starting with Shamanavi
he laid down some serious grooves on his laptop
paving the way for Allison Fishman who sang & played acoustic guitar with some very cool distortion-y-effects
Salty Catfish from Indiana got up and did their short but immensly tight & powerful set which was only made more amazing by the fact that they are only in high school
it STILL blows my mind just writing it
they will hopefully be back soon
Anita Guitartist came on and sang her heart out got the place movin & groovin
byt the way, she had the most amazing pants
one of my favorites The Scribblers were up next GREAT songs by Awesome harmonies and the songs are catchy as hell ( remember no one whistles the light show) I must beg them back (b4 they get too huge and start touring)
Last but certainly not least was Inkbat
they too played way too little but had just replaced their bassist - the new guy wails - i listen to the drummer Charlie's other band Boyfriends as i write this
what a talent!! Inkbat RULES! (find them on myspace)
Now for the 1st ( this will indeed be a first for us) the ENTIRE night is dedicated to Steel Dog Records www.SteelDog.org and their great and talented roster including performances by Sarah B. Ben Johnson (awesome orphanage favorite)
Ilsabe O'Connell Pat Hall Bill Brickey Shelly Miller Subtle Beast & Micki Croisant
if you are able - make this sunday night & be prompt music at 8pm
