Klaas' comments the Motive Event's "Official Statement regarding Klaas"In the current statement provided on Motive Events' homepage, Motive Events
describes the history of the immigration procedure correctly from a
general perspective. However, first of all, it is not the U.S. Embassy in
Berlin but the Consulate General in Frankfurt who is in charge of the Klaas'
immigration procedure. Being aware of the fact the U.S. immigration procedure has become quiet strict over the last years, Klaas was happy that Motive Events
wanted to take care for this procedure through their specialized immigration
lawyers based in L.A.. ....
Nevertheless,
different from Motive Events' statement, the relevant officers at the U.S.
Consulate General at Frankfurt insist on a process time of 3 working days
between the appointment day and the issuing of the the visa required. Since
Motive Events provided the documents required for the visa not before April 8,
2009, it was not possible to get an appointment at the U.S Consulate General
before Easter. In fact, April 16, 2009 was the earliest possible
appointment the U.S. Consulate General could offer.
Unfortunately, this late date will not allow to receive the visa required for
Klaas' flight on April 17, 2009. However, Klaas and his lawyers are still
trying their very best in order to make Klaas' trip to Redlands possible and
are happy for any support given by Motive Events and their lawyers.....
