Artist Confidential: Artist Confidential: B.B. King
XMX – XM 2

All Day
He is quite simply the King of the Blues. The namesake of XM's 24-hour a day Blues channel joins us for the 100th episode of XM's "Artist Confidential" series. No name is more synonymous with the Blues than B.B. King. It was in Memphis, Tennessee in the late 1940's when he was working both as a musician and a radio DJ when he got the nickname "Beale Street Blues Boy" - later shortened to B.B. And he hasn't looked back since. For 6 decades, BB King has worked tirelessly with his guitar named Lucille to play the blues for fans around the world. He's on anyone's shortlist when talking about "who is the greatest guitarist of all time." And even his early radio career is also coming around full circle, as he embarks this year on a new XM exclusive series on the channel that bears his name, B.B. King's Bluesville. XM is honored to be joined by B.B. King for music and conversation that doesn't just look back, but looks ahead to his plans in his 83rd year. A special edition of "Artist Confidential," with BB King - only on XM.
