Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I've been in advocating for the Liberal wing of politics. Whether it's writing political music, sending in letters to periodicals or blogging on Daily KOS and Buzzflash, the Bush Administration has fueled this passion for the past 6 years. I'm noticing now that the country seems to be coming out of its collective stupor that I'm decidedly less interested in politics. Things seem to have been set into motion that will likely achieve what us "Leftists" have been screaming for over the past 6 years: the downfall of Bush and those who defend/share his ideologies. I still keep up with my news on the Raw Story, CNN, Crooks and Liars and Daily KOS and overall am happy to see the Democrats have grown bigger sets of cojones. I am disgusted to see the media remain a perpetual propoganda machine for Bush, but there is hope that this too shall pass with the Democrats controlling Congress and hopefully in a few years the White House. Although I have no confidence that Bush can be removed from office, I hope that the House will be able to at least impeach him in order that his Presidency carry the proper stain of disgrace that it deserves.
I have heard no complaints about my waning passion for politics from my wife, who has undoubtedly endured more political discussions than she ever thought possible upon meeting me!
