This is a little late, but I still want to post it for future reference.

The photoshoot wasn't fully planned until last minute, or one day before. I wanted Crystal to do the hair and makeup, (she did the poof hair photo) so she drove out to New Lenox to help me out.

This is also the first serious photoshoot wtih my new lighting equipment. I recently purchased 2 lamps and stands. VERY exciting for me to get practice on such a great model. I love Jess!

I had borrowed a purple-ish/redish country dress from samantha, but needed a belt to pull it off. I also borrowed some interesting shirts from Danielle that she got free from some old lady.

For hair, I showed Crystal these photos from Zac Posen Fall 2006.


We had about 2 1/2 hours (i think) to do the shoot, plenty of time, but I did not want to stop shooting and could of went all day.

If you look in this photo, you can see my new lamps just thrown on the couch, i am a slob. This is Jess's basement. She is reading Dazed and Confused and Crystal is preparing for hair and makeup


I love Crystal, she is so spunky and we both love the same things. She works at a Salon downtown  and  she asked me to do the photography for her hair runway show on Feb 3rd, so watch for that.


EXACTLY what I wanted!


Alright, it was FREEZING OUT, but I wanted to go outside for seriously 4 or 5 shots, it would be torture, but we could do it. I went outside and set up my lamps and umbrellas and it was so windy they blew down several times, and I am thankfull they aren't broken.

So alright, it was WAY to cold to really concentrate, so my exposure settings were off. Some of the DECENT photos, but definately not portfolio worthy, but I like them in a weird way.

You shoulda seen this one before I fixed it, LOL!


So we got inside QUICKLY!!!! My fingers were frozen and I could hardly twist the thing to take the lighting down.

So I hung up my brown blackground (a huge piece of fabric for a shirt i have yet to make) and took some shots.
