The Bionics are a studio band consisting of Danielle Moore and Tim Davies (Crazy P) plus producer Ben Davis (paperecordings / We Are Woodville / Flash Atkins) joined by a shared interest in wonky dance music and robots.
Their critically album from last year Solid Silver was released to great reviews; ‘a solid gold hit’ in 4/5 idj and 7/8 in M8 calling it “the best in electronic funk / soul”

Following the release of Love Chains and its Greg Wilson edit, the second digital single is Deaf Love. The original is a hypnotic slice of broken deep house hung round a haunting keyboard line and Danni’s yearning vocals.

Bionic member Tim Davis goes disco as the Weasel with a deep mid-tempo groover that saves it’s best till last when it breaks a disco B-line two thirds of the way through.

Next up Big Kid goes deep and jazzy with an abstract mix that’s heavy on atmospherics and vibe, not fitting in any genre but touching on many.

3am’s Al Bradley goes all old school Chicago with a house mix that jacks and shuffles before taking things up with an acid arpeggiator for maximum dancefloor effect.

Finally is The Bionics remix of Time To Get It Right. Filled with popping and buzzing electronics, Danni’s vocal floats over the top before swelling strings give it an emotional tug, sitting somewhere between Ennio Morricone, Massive Attack and LTJ Bukem.
