Greetings Groovesters!!
Welcome to the November Edition of The Groove News, the
hip happenings of Groovy Judy and her fun and funky band. If you're a new
member, welcome! If you're a long time fan thanks for your continued support. My
goals as an artist are to spread positive vibes through my music and
performances, inspire people to be the best they can be, and shred on the
guitar! :-)

1. November Rocks! I've got some fantastic
shows this month beginning this weekend on Friday, November 6 in my hometown of
Livermore at Pine Street Bar & Grill. I'll be rockin' and groovin' my
Hendrix-Beatles-Sly & The Family Stone influenced originals with Pete on
drums and Harry on keys and bass. I'll have my limited edition tie-dye Groovy
Judy t-shirts and CDs available too!
On Saturday, November 7 the boys and
I return to one of our favorite places on the Peninsula, St. James Gate in
Belmont. We'll be rockin' the inside stage playing a mix of 60's-70's classic
rock, funk, and some groovy originals. Outside our hard rockin' friends the
all-female Ramones Tribute band "The Hormones" will be serving up hard and fast
80's punk. It's going to be off the hook so don't miss it!
in Golden Gate Park. This was in honor of Jimi Hendrix,
who headlined the festival in 1969. The goal was to break the World's Record for
the Largest Guitar Ensemble playing "Purple Haze" all at the same
time!
It was tons of fun, I met a lot of groovy people, plus I met Jimi
Hendrix's brother Leon Hendrix. Leon's a groovy cat and he can play a mean
guitar in his own right. I posted a few photos on my Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/groovyjudy
so please take a moment to check them out. If you have any
photos of that day that you'd like to share, feel free to send them along.
:-)
3. Women's Radio Airplay My song "Jimi's Sister" is now in
rotation on WomensRadio http://womensradio.com/index.htmand WomensRadio Independent Channel on Live365 http://www.live365.com/stations/womens_radio?site=proTune in, turn it up, and rock out!! :-)
4. Rockin' San
Francisco If you've been wondered "when are you going to play in San
Francisco again?" I'm working on some shows right now, but please mark your
calendar for Thursday, January 7. I'll be groovin' the North Beach hot spot the
Grant & Green Saloon http://www.myspace.com/grantandgreensf with another hot rockin'
female guitar slinger Margo Scranton and her band "Scranton."
