Yup it's true! For the 3rd year in a row it will be my privilege to play BAD ASS LOCAL BANDS IN THE 9 O CLOCK COCKFIGHT for the month of December!!!

Now a few things to keep in mind.

1. The goal of this in my eyes is to give you (ie your band) a little added exposure, not so much who wins or loses.

2. There is way too much local talent out there for me to get everyone's band in the Cockfight and for that I am sorry.

3. Next week (starting 11/26) I will ask you to email me (jolene@kisw.com) your contact info, bio and song (mp3 please) you would like to see in the Cockfight. Obviously no songs with f*k, Sh*t, or c*t....you know the big bad words.

I will personally contact you If I can get your band in for the Cockfight. Once again I can't get everyone in. But regardless this is a great way to rally around all of our local talent!


I look forward to having an in box so freaking full it's ready to explode with your submissions.

Hey, what's up? I used to live in Tacoma, but I moved to Oregon back in '04. I used to listen to kisw all the time, and I find it awesome you guys are playing local/unsigned bands. Rishloo is an awesome band, I've seen them live twice when they played the Ike Box down here in Salem, OR. they put on a better show than alot of bands that are signed to major labels. The only shows I've seen that I can compare theirs to is Tool and A Perfect Circle, and Nine Inch Nails(just with a smaller budget for lighting and stuff). No other bands I've seen have put on as good of a show as them. They are by far the best underground band I have heard and I think they are going to be fucking huge!
Just leaving this comment to let anyone who has never heard them know how much talent is in that band.
