I've decided... that since I'm such a loser and watch ALOT of movies, I might as well start posting a mini review blog about them.
We'll "officially" start with Gone Baby Gone
Desc: When a 4-year-old girl goes missing in Dorchester, one of Boston's toughest hoods, private investigators Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro (
Casey Affleck and
Michelle Monaghan) reluctantly agree to take the case. But the investigation proves tougher, riskier and more complex than they could have imagined.
Ben Affleck's directorial debut, adapted from the Dennis Lehane novel, also stars
Ed Harris,
Morgan Freeman and
Amy Ryan (in her first Oscar-nominated role).
I watched this movie expecting it to be a cheesey drama filled action type movie. I was pleasantly surprised. The kidnapped 4 year old is the daughter of a crack head. As you watch, you start to think maybe she deserves to be taken from her mother. No sappy love story involved as there is with most movies these days, considering the lead character has a chick. So that's definitely a plus. The movie keeps you guessing, yet gives you subtle hints about the ending. Kind of hard to catch on to until all the pieces are put together to lead up to the twists at the end.
I'd recommend this movie to anyone. No matter what you're "normally" a fan of.
