The Brawl For It All Tour 2007 wrapped up this past weekend and once again it was a great success. Thanks so much to everyone who came out the shows, both old and new faces - it was great to see you all and I hope you had a good time?
To The Erotics, our touring partners and brothers - it was, as always, a pleasure and a honour to have you around and share the same stages. I miss you already!
So here I am again, contemplating as I do, after a bunch of live shows and slipping into far too much over analysing of everything. It is weird though and it hit me today, that this is the first time in a VERY long time that there is absolutely NOTHING on what you might call my 'Gig Calendar'. For the past couple of years there's always been something booked or in the planning stages to aim for and look forward to but right now.... diddly squat!
It's certainly a strange feeling for sure. Yes, there's a bunch of things that 'may' happen but as I've come to realise, particularly over the past twelve months, most things in this 'business' are usually 'maybes' and absolutely nothing is definate with things changing very quickly at the last minute.
With TCC there looks like being another long term hiatus with Jamie set to become a Dad, which will be fantastic for him and Gemma, whilst Wylde heads back over to the US at Christmas. As for the band it will continue, but for now all is quiet once more.
DIP will hopefully head into the studio in the early part of 2008 to record our new album (long overdue after 10 years I think!!) but as with 'DIP Time' who knows when that will become reality.
So right now I'm sat, not wanting to, but finding myself wishing the rest of 2007 away and aiming for a fresh positive start to 2008. Perhaps I should use this downtime to catch up on everything else I've been meaning to do.... get back in line with TrashPit or maybe just relax, but to be honest all I want to do, and all I've ever really wanted for as long as I can remember, is go and play live!
