So I've been getting the odd request for an Earps "backpatch" here and there. They do not exist, but rather are made from carefully cutting, applying adhesive, sewing and protecting edges of the t-shirt fabric with Fray Blocker. I think really what people want is a $15 backpatch they can iron on their jackets. I have so far been unable to procure a supplier for backpatch blanks that our printing dude can screen. (The backpatch kinda went out with Iron Maiden and Guns n Roses and are difficult to find nowadays but I have NOT stopped looking!) People seem to want the faux backpatch but get intimidated by the instructions I give to them.
This whole thing cost about exactly $100 but I'm a Wrangler indigo snob and I did not want "Wal-Mart denim". However, I just found a kickass deal on nice denim jackets on summer closeout (they used to cost $100!!) and very soon, similar jackets will be available for sale with only Earps faux backpatch and possibly a Heavy Metal Shop patch on the front (I'm working that deal out right now) I have been trying to squeeze out every bit of markup possible to make this happen. The absolute best I can do is $45 (plus shipping for mail order and this is a nice jacket that sold for $100 when it was still cold outside. Jack Daniels is the brand) for a quality long sleeve jacket and $25 for a ladies' sleeveless denim vest. I will make up a short run of these items. We are also completely unoffended if you decide to make something using with your own crafting skills, such as the Earps purse or diaper bag. We sell the shirts for $10 each ($15 shipped). A very limited number of jackets should become available in early to mid May. I will keep you posted. If you know you want one, you can preorder and tell me your size so I don't end up only having, say, a Women's medium available if you're a big guy with a beard.
