Okay, so it's summer time, and we've got about 6 weeks before school starts back up.  I just want all the people who are planning on being in choir next year to be practicing any kind of "choir" material.  Sight reading is a big one that we all need to work on.  This year we might be able to compete in a sight reading competition, BUT we cannot do that if we're not ready.  Choir camp is this Wednesday-Friday, so don't forget about that.  It is key that we choir members pay very close attention to the instruction given to us for the state music.  It helps tremendously! I know that I am new at this choir president thing and I'm only a junior, but I think the only way we can make this next choir year successful is if we set aside ALL of our differences and stick together.  Who cares if someone is better than someone else? We all just need to work with the same passion and intensity to acheive greatness for our choir.  Choir is not just a class, it's a club, and we should all take pride in it.  Last year went a little haywire, so we cannot let that happen again.  There's no need to point any fingers at the people that caused trouble in choir.  I know that I was a very bad example of a good choir member last year, and I PROMISE I will be different this coming year.  Please join me this year and try your best to make this whole choir thing work.  I know we can do it, and I know that we have a very talented group of musicians.  I can't wait to see what's in store for us this year!
