Hey Gang!
I'm going to try and keep this brief, cause my fat fingers keep closing this window on Sean's iPhone, causing me to be very un-PG-13. We're rolling down the road east between Calgary and Regina and Ska Jeezy ate an egg salad sandwich for breakfast. Not cool for the rest of us in the van. Oh Jeezy.
Vanna Lives and is purrrrrrring like a kitten again. Woot! She even made it over the Mountains and back. So after getting to Ymir BC, we ended up partying at the Parello's instead of playing, which was all good. Great family! They took us in, fed us, and took us for our first Mountain stream dip, having never met us. Their hospitality is second to none! Many thanks and hi-fives to Alan, Janice, Mike, Hannah and Mother Parello for being such kind souls. Also, big thanks to our new pal Murray for helping us out.
Six mile was just as great with everyone at the Common House feeding us and generally being cool cats. The food was great and so was the company. Thanks for supporting us even though we're so loud. ; ) Many hugs and kisses to Molly and Brad, Justinomics, Aaron, Mackenzie, and all our new friends. Six mile was our first of two shows with our buddy bands Despite All This and Two Kids Running Away. If these cats come through your town ( and they will! It's inevitable) go check them out. Great tunes with lots of heart and soul. We talked about it last night in Calgary, and we've decided we're now BFFs.
Calgary was killer with a double show day! First we played the best all ages we've ever seen, The New Black. Awesome spot. Huge thanks to Isaac and Darren for hooking us up with the show and being great dudes and to Jay for making us sound great. Thanks also to One Hundred owls for rocking out with us, and for loving music.
The night show was at Vern's and the party continued! Big thanks to Clint for the show, as well as to the Back Alley Boozers. Sadly we had to leave our friends DAT and TKRA (see above). We wish them all the best, and happy travels. Starla, Toadie, Steve, and Josh, we'll see you soon.
I think that's brings us up to speed. If I forgot anyone, I'm very sorry, but I was just in BC. ; ). We've only got a few shows left, so if you're along the way, come rock out! We wanna see your smilin' faces.
stay rad,
-Pat
