Hey Peeps, beginning of the year report:

• Hornet played our 1st Chicago show last week at Fuck Mountain with our pals, Victor! Fix the Sun. The show was fabulous and the crew at FM were stellar. Judith Swan was excellent too and very enthusiastic.

• Hornet is in the thought process of a game plan to record 4 songs for a 7" and 12" compilation to be released on Cincinnati-based Phratry Records within the 2008 calendar year. We are very excited about this and to be joining archival forces with our new friends Knife the Symphony and Caterpillar Tracks and old pals Sah. You will be able to upload a code to a Web site to get the 7" songs in digital format too. Stay tuned!

• Hornet we be performing at the New Kraftbrau, wherever that is, in February.

• Hornet will be performing at the KeewanawesomeFest in Houghton at the end of March. We will be in Marquette the next night with Sah as well. Check out the great bands playing at the fest, one of them is Low, but you need to check out the site for more info. Stay tuned!
