For the next wonderful Creaturemag project,  Creature and the team will be embarking on a festival tour with a difference. This summer we will be attending festivals with the intention of setting up (with or without permission) makeshift art galleries.

On the ground, in the trees, on sticks, fences, portaloos, in the mud or on our person; we intend for the artworks to be displayed in a variety of inventive ways, adopting whatever means necessary, in various locations, at a number festivals throughout the country.

Our tour will cover a selection of the UK's music and arts gatherings and we would like to meet festival goers interested in doing more than simply attending such events. We are looking for like-minded Creatures willing to visit a festival and set up their very own mini gallery. Whether it's displaying your own artwork, that of your group/ collective or that of people you don't even know, the idea is to spread the Creature word of free art for everyone, to draw attention to yourself and most importantly to gain exposure for the artists involved.

The project is open to anyone. You can join in in two ways, either by contributing work to be displayed within these makeshift galleries (we will mainly be displaying drawings in frames... stuff that is easy to carry to a festival, consider the practicalities) or by becoming a Creaturemag missionary and working with us in constructing these galleries (in which case what you choose to display is completely up to you).

If you are interested in getting involved in any capacity you can express your interest by contacting Creature@creaturemag.com. We would love to hear your ideas for possible locations, means of displaying work and from anyone who would like to have their work featured in this project.

Further to this we are interested in hearing from Creatures who wish to write about their festival experiences, artworks inspired by or created at music festivals and from anyone who has simply got the festival bug and wants to tell us about it.
