Here we go back to the roots of the band ....Montreal....!
After a nice drive down HWY 20 we arrived in our old hometown in time for a late lunch and beverage. After finding the bar, way down ....St. Laurent.... (I mean like, way! down, we had some traditional Mexican food. Very good and cheap (that's MTL for yah). We played Bar St. Laurent 2 which was a decent venue. Light Bulb Alley opened the night for us with some nice rocking sounds, and we took the stage around ..11:00... Great to see Dara and Jayne out! Thanks again to Lino, Patrick and the Light Bulb Alley boys.
Stayed the night at a friend’s house and hit the road for the long drive to ....Waterloo..... The ride sucked. Not fun at all. Enough said about that........It was great to be home again and see my family and friends. The Boathouse was a sweet little venue. We shared the stage with The Perpetrators, D-Rangers, Sound Foundation, and Honeywood Express. It was a great night of music from all of the bands. We played a short set, but not bad for the first time in ....Waterloo..... Thanks Kevin for everything (and thanks hot bartender who gave me a sweet discount).....
Sleep in and then ....Toronto..... We drove down all of Bloor to get to ....Clintons.... due to heavy traffic on the 401. We actually drove down pretty much the whole road- no joke. When we got to ....Clintons.... I rememberd why I loved the place. It really is a great venue. A really cool, tight, funk band called Ninja Funk Orchestra opened up the night. It was great to see friends out to their first Cosmic Granola show (..Cam.., Cooper, Les, Alley) and some veterans (Kappi) from all over the GTA. Thanks to Fletch and the band for a great night. ....I think I am in tour withdrawal. I need more... to be continued....
