The holidays are my busiest season. If I am not busting my ass for whatever place I am working, then I am catering, or making handmade candy or what have you.
This year is the most unreal ever. I've been pulling at least one 24-hour shift each week since the Chef left, most days I am pulling a double. A few days ago I worked 48 hours straight, with a 10 minute break every 6 hours or so, taking a nap in my office.
But, it'll all be over in about 10 days. Then I go to work for a different hospital. I'll have my work cut out for me there, bringng them up to spec, but I'm ready for the next step, the next big challenge.

My mother went out to LA and got back today. She spent a lot of time with my grandmother, sharing with her all of the geneaology stuff I've been digging up. My grandmother loved the pictures and the stories that I am collected. It brought back a lot of memories for her. A cousin that I discovered met up with my mom and they both went to visit the hospice center together. My grandmother loved visiting with her!

The kids had another belt test...Teagan advanced to green belt and TImothy to purple. I'll post those pictures later. Timothy is also going to test for student leadership. He's anxious to take the test...he said he wants to be a role model. This from the kid who has literally been climbing walls and trouble with impulse control just 6 months ago. TKD has been the best ever for him. I'll kick myself to my dying day for not doing it sooner.
I think after the first of the year both kids will enroll in judo at the dojang. Teagan will be the youngest and the smallest, with Timothy right behind her.
