Who Gives Kudos:

Hey folks!
Well, only four days left to my stint in British Columbia. I’m flying solo from here on to do some workshops for the students on the Queen Charlottes- the rest of the band flew back today, the band being great pals and musicians Jason Roach and Tim Chaisson. Highlights of the trip: every show! The folks at the Atlantic Trap and Gill in Vancouver were just awesome, very good food- even better staff- and Cory made sure we were well taken care of. The place was packed- I thought I was going to pass out from the heat, which is often the case when that many people try to cram into one room- but the more the merrier! Our show in Harrison Hot Springs went great- yet again, big crowd and we were well taken care of- big thanks to Phyllis for that one! Although, I must say, I felt my ego get pretty big when we walked around town and my face was everywheres. That could be because I have a big head to begin with, let alone having it enlarged for posters!

CelticFest Vancouver rocked and I sold out of CDs and have no idea what I’m going to do for my shows back home. Tim Readmen and the volunteers made the weekend a complete success and we hope to return! I’d definetly recommend all Celtic enthusiasts hit the festival next year, it’ll be a weekend you’ll never forget...unless you over do it on St. Patty’s Day. One memorable moment- when a certain Maribeth MacAulay convinced us to go busk at one in the morning on Granville- we "donated" the proceeds to fellow buskers.

Thanks to Moira Coady for billeting us for part of the trip and a thank you to Don MacIsaac for some great steak and potatoes and organzing a great and not-so-little house party.

Thank you to the Celtic Connections, Vancouver Sun, and the Guardian for writing articles about the band and myself and all the media coverage in general. The Celtic Connections is a great paper for lovers of all things Celtic and a must-read.

Finally- biggo thanks to Tim Chaisson and Jason Roach- I couldn’t ask for better accompianists. You guys rocked and I intend ..ging you around for future Chrissy adventures- please don’t make physical force on issue ;)
