How do I get my health services for free?

At Women's Health Specialists, you can pay for your services in a variety of ways: we accept private insurance, Medi-Cal, and cash-paying clients on a sliding-fee scale basis. We also offer the Family PACT program, a state insurance program that pays for hormonal and non-hormonal birth control, pap smears, emergency contraception (the "morning-after pill"), vaginal infection testing and treatment, breast exams, STD testing and treatment and some men's services as well! The Family PACT program card is green, so many women and men refer to it as "the green card."

You sign up for this program at the clinic. It's an easy two-page form that you fill out to apply and your card is activated that day. You can have private insurance and still sign up for the Family PACT program. You do not need your parent's permission to sign up for this program or to receive any services at the clinic. The monthly maximum income guidelines for the program is as follows:

1-person: $1,734
2-persons: $2,334
3-persons: $2,934
4-persons: $3,534
5-persons: $4,134
6-persons: $4,734
7-persons: $5,334
8-persons: $5,934
9-persons: $6,534
10-persons: $7,134

Income is self-reported, you do not need to bring income verification. You can ask questions or make appointments by calling our phone counselors at:

Chico: (530) 891-1911

Redding: (530) 221-0193

Sacramento: (916) 451-0621

Santa Rosa: (707) 537-1171

Thank you so much! We look forward to seeing you at the clinic!
