How to Get Maximum Exposure as an Independent Artist...

I find this to be NOT only helpful also a MUST READ for all
musicians that feel stuck or NEED that extra PUSH...

the list is from 1-50 WAYS that YOU can make yourself known...
here are a few comments I have to share relating to some #'s.

1)   Think Globally ACT Locally-Always works!
4)    Be unique and creative NOT the NORM...
5)    Make it work for you-think outside the box...
6)    Self-promote OFTEN
7)    Artist website professional and creative a MUST!
8)    F2F make yourself known in your community
14)  Network with other artists as colleagues not competition
19)  Always have business cards to hand out where ever u go
24)  Stay in touch with local media in your town
27)  Join cause and chariably events in your town-give back
28)  Promote your home town-get involved locally
33)  DON'T be afraid to video a cover on YOU TUBE
39)  Play shows locally and frequently FIRST/create a buzz
42)  Think of creative places to play-farmers markets, etc....
43)  PROVE to each venue that you are going to promote
45)  Gig swap with other artists OFTEN
64)  Check out www.artistsdata.com-   you'll be hooked up
69)  Creativecommons.org-               allow your music to be shared

NO~One has ALL the answers however we can ALL learn from our peers and blaze our own trail and do what works best for us...I say if what you have been doing is not working then turn yourself in a complete different direction and choose another way to get there...
