The grand old opery sure is nice
 but it don't beat a stinky dive.
 there's something about that sour beer smell
that makes me come alive.
when i walk into that cool dark room
I feel like I am home
and i walk over to where i belong
and i get paid to sing my songs

 right there in nashville town
and i got to see some fine fine pickers
and they all were gettin down
