A Very Special Christmas Volume 7 where you can hear the brothers’ version of “Let it Snow!” We chatted with the guys about recording “Let It Snow,” their upcoming album, and being starstruck!
QF: What made you pick “Let It Snow” for A Very Special Christmas?Zach: It was just one of those songs that we wanted to change up and make it different. We went into iTunes and listened to all the versions that were done there and we were like, “How can we make this different?”
Josh: Because it was very jingle-sounding.
Zach: So we made it cool and hip and a very modern, country pop song.
QF: What can we expect to hear on the album? What do the Carter Twins sound like?Josh: It’s morphing.
Zach: Yeah, it is morphing a lot because we started recording last August so we actually had the album done. Now, we’re going to add three or four more songs, and change it up a little bit just because we’ve changed so much in a year.
QF: Have you had any fun celebrity encounters? Have you ever gotten really starstruck by anyone?Josh: We had a lot with country artists like Carrie Underwood. We played softball with Carrie, and that was a lot of fun. And Keith Urban. I always see him around town, and I’m such a big Keith Urban fan. I’m a stalker fan when it comes to Keith Urban. My mom and I were walking in Nashville somewhere. My mom was shopping in some store, and Keith and Nicole get out of the car, and I tried to be cool about it, but it just didn’t work. I run in the store, and I’m like, “Mom, it’s Keith!” Everybody in the store turns around, and I’m like, “Oh, no.” I tried to say it really quietly. I was like, “Mom, Keith Urban’s outside.” But the minute I said it, everybody ran outside, and it was just like, “Oh, no. He’s gonna hate me!”
