Current mood: contemplative
Leonard Lauder, chairman of Estee Lauder Cosmetics stated in an article in The New York Times that he has found that when the economy is bad, women tend to buy more lipstick. He speculated the deflated economy not only does not allow for more extravagant purchases but also a small purchase such as a lipstick can make a woman feel better about herself, in more ways than one.
My life, in general, fucking rules. No need to take you down the path of all the vacations I take, all the parties I attend, all the liquor and fine cuisine I consume, or all the days I sleep til 4 and do it again. My shit is great. But PLEASE BELIEVE, I have my share of trials and tribulations just like everyone else. My childhood was no walk in the park, and neither is being an adult. I've been (AND am) ridiculed, lied to and about, doubted, abandoned, and tore down. Yet, my shit is great and I do not have ANY complaints. No complaints, No remorse, No gripes.
Although today, I just got in from getting a beautiful tan (complete with tan lines ;), and sipping mojitos on the ocean with people I love, my day has been no stroll in the sand. My professional and personal life both have major defects, and my grandmother had a stroke.
So what do you do? So what did I do?
I put on lipstick (cause its supposed to make you feel better), then I sat down to write this blog.
Truth is, lifes a bitch.
All in all, the lipstick did make me feel better. Well at least I was able to laugh threw my tears cause I look a hot ass mess with this tan and bright ass red lipstick.
I look like someone punched me in the lips, so I wiped it off and wiped my face. Shit isn't better, but I feel better. Life is great and its all I can ask for. Well that... and a better shade of lipstick.
