My good friend, J.D., has wanted a back design for a very long time. He held onto to this one terrible drawing of a Haida-esque Thunderbird design that he swore he was gonna sport across his whole back. As the years went by and I saw he was still serious about it I thought it might be nice if he had something worth sportin'. I had been studying tribal design
for awhile and I really love the expression and respected J.D.'s commitment
to a back piece...he more than made up for the weak ass small as shit girly lower back piece,lol..so I did my best to honor that intent and designed something that I wish I had.

I've been working with and for Philip J. Felix (owner and artist of Red Sky Studio) for 13 years and now that he was working in the Tattoo medium it seemed appropriate
that I asked him to work over my design, which is not something he does. I was fortunate enough to get his approval, his time and I was able to participate in the
process.

Alot of full circle stuff going on with this piece and between the three of us we documented it pretty well...finding out not as well as I originally thought. lol

I'll do my best to update the pictures with written break downs. please forgive my grammer, its not one of my strengths.
