Annual Charity Compilation Highlights Exceptional Independent Talent
NEW YORK, NY — At the 2009 SXSW MPress Fest in Austin, Texas, MPress Records and label founder Rachael Sage announced open submissions for Volume 4 of the "New Arrivals" charity compilation series, aimed at increasing exposure for exceptional independent talent. Submissions are being accepted online now through June 1st at Sonicbids: http://www.sonicbids.com/newarrivalsvol4
Since its launch in 2005, "New Arrivals" has been on the pulse of up-and-coming indie talent, featuring artists such as The Kin, Jim Bianco, Gregory Douglass and Amy Speace among many others. Each volume also includes a Bonus Track by a more established independent artist: Jill Sobule (Vol. 1), Melissa Ferrick (Vol. 2) and Glen Phillips (Vol. 3).
100% of proceeds from "Vol. 4" will benefit National Network for Youth, whose mission is to connect and champion the needs of runaway, homeless and other disconnected youth. http://www.nn4youth.org
