I've started a shade garden webring. Speaking of shade, I've just added a Ladyslipper  page to the shade garden section on my site.

I found some of the pictures deleted from my blog and have created a produce page for year-1 of the Mountain Garden.

I wish that I had more pictures of my place at the Yonderfamily community to post....I was busy building something out there & I didn't document it thoroughly enough. After 15 years of continous effort, it should be a given that I had something really nice created out there which only reflected well upon the community.

I probably should write up (again) a description of the homestead that I built from nothing. I'll post a link if/when I get it written.

Meanwhile....I've been re-digging the beds in the Mountain Garden for more depth, incorporating lots more manure...Clearing out big patches of honeysuckle and putting in garden beds in their place. The columbine have been beautiful...I still have no decent pictures...Here's one that I did take...

The Louisianna Iris have begun to bloom! I love Louisianna Iris! I've been getting the new Brugmansia cuttings planted...also all of the vegetables that go with vegetable gardening.

Sorry if I don't tell enough about vegetables, My first love is colour...there's lots of ornamental vegetables that can be grown, and I do grow some of them...I like to plant my ornamental hot peppers in  peoples flower gardens when I'm helping them.

Stone,
Sounds like you've been busy.  I had to google Louisiana Iris....they are beautiful.  I love the pictures of the Columbine.  I wish you had kept pictures of your "other" place.  I'm sure it must be beautiful.  What kinds of hot peppers do you grow?  I started experimenting with some this year.

Thanks Audra,
I have a variegated thai pepper that I'm partial to...I've permitted it to cross with habanero peppers so it has some heat...I've allowed it to cross with another hot pepper that came back in another garden from dropped seeds so it's now a self-seeding annual...The best kind!

zydeco iris is a great louisianna iris site.

Here's the brick walk through my shade garden in middle Georgia.

Sounds like you've been busy! We put in a retaining wall (rocks) this weekend and I'm quite sore. I'm jealous of your peppers! We are a green chile, hot pepper loving family. Nothing better than organic, homemade salsa or pico de gallo!

Send me your address...I'll send you some seed. I don't know how well these will do for you in New York state, but there's nothing like trying.

In the autumn, I dig a few and bring them into the house over the winter...Great Christmas colours! I've set them back out in my garden now...I get a jump on the season with last years plants.

Hi Stone,
I planted my hot peppers seedlings outside in my garden and my littlest daughter left the gate open.  Needless to say, Harley, my lab/mastiff went tramping through my garden and squashed all my seedlings...

Hey Nikki,
Thanks for posting.
You are in the earthstar village webring.
Are you asking about the other one?  We might need to try getting you a zeeblo account again so that webring nav panels could be put on relevent pages, and you could discuss your pictures. Zeeblo has coppermine in fantastico, you might really enjoy using that.
