"The barbaric Israeli assault on Gaza will go down in infamy alongside Deir Yasin and Sabra and Shatilla as one of the defining events of the Palestinian tragedy and resistance.

"The atrocities are continuing – so too must the world-wide protests. We in Britain have a particular responsibility. Our government, alongside George W Bush, has sickeningly placed the blame on the Palestinians for their suffering in Gaza.

"Our government arms the quisling Arab regimes whose cowardice and greed are as necessary to Israel's murder as its US supplied weapons.

"Historically, it was a British foreign minister who authored the Palestinian tragedy when he signed their country away to the Zionist movement.

"Respect helped organise the militant demonstration on Sunday in London outside the Israeli embassy within 24 hours of the first air raids on Gaza. We stand in solidarity with the protests called by diverse groups across Britain.

"Every single MP should be put under pressure to speak out clearly against Israel's aggression. Those who do not will have the blood of innocent Palestinians on their hands.

"Let's unify our efforts. Stop the Slaughter in Gaza. Hold the British government to account. Freedom for Palestine."

Even if all Israel's accusations against Hamas were true beyond doubt, it still would not justify this. It reminds me of Nazi war crimes when whole villages were punished because of the actions of a resistance fighters.

I'm sure the majority of Israeli people don't want this sadistic assault.
Is there an Israeli resistance movement and how can we give it support and encouragement?

Indeed, I briefly saw some of channel 3 news where an Israeli Soldier (brainwashed Monkey) claimed its Palestine's fault for voting in a party whom are a huge terrorist organisation (which wasn't corrected) My Mistake though I never watch ITV news its merely an over dramatised game show with attractive women housing an extensive vocab, they haven't a clue about what they're talking about, I wonder if they know Irgun Blew Israel into existence, over land that not only belongs but is charted as Palestinian & now we appear to be in a predicament that cradles the "Intellects" & "academics" of the west holding a firm stance behind Israel......?

Nothing but Mass Murder & Genocide that (for reasons I cannot gauge) supported devoutly by US & UK....Its so difficult living in the Belly of the beast Mr. Galloway.

It is a situation that shouldn't be still happening anymore, why is the world so useless in trying to sort out this mess that is so important but always fail to help, is the world that scared of the Americans because they are allies with Israel so that's it, no-one can help, no-one can sort it out with the Yanks being a part of it, if they aren't bothered about trying to sort this crisis out then maybe it's time for another country or countries to step up, take control and do something to help Palestine. Seems like our useless government are too soft and won't do anything because America tells us not to, will be, as usual, be left up to the people to stand up and protest. All communities who are appalled by this lunacy should all be contacted and joined together in getting our government to do something, to unite as one and get something done about Palestine before it gets so bad there that there will be nothing left of them and their homeland.
On a separate note George, what are your thoughts on tackling radical Islam in this country, what are possible, doable, safe, unifying and intelligent solutions to this problem, asked Yasmin Alibhai-Brown on her thoughts with being Muslim but all she's bothered about is twittering on about other stuff that's pointless and trivial!
Love to hear back your feedback George.

More people would see the real truth if it wasnt for the toally biased way the media in this country reported the "facts". They should be held accountable after its all said and done. Keep up the fight many people believe in you and more importantly a free and vibrant Palestinian state. Surely someone MUST be held accountable for the killling of the drivers of the marked U N aid convoy Surely that must be classed as a war crime. J.

It appears that everyone is afraid of the Israelis.

I realize that to them, the ends justify the means, but why is EVERYONE SO AFRAID TO CALL IT THE WAY IT IS?

On a side note, has anyone else noticed the fAKE SUICIDES that are going on? This German billionaire, Adolph Merckle; they expect us to believe that he put himself on a railroad track? Then, suddenly his company gets that bridge loan, as long as his son is off the board of directors, and they sell the bank the pharmaceutical company, immediately after this guy's death by train tracks?

Some other guy in Chicago, who owns one of the top commercial real estate auctions, suddenly kills himself?

Doesn't anyone realize that if these criminals are not stopped, everyone, at every level and position will be subject to their fear tactics? It is not just the poor Palestinians who will be slaughtered, it will also be the so called "friends" of these criminals. You know, like Ken Lay.

Madoff was just the tip of the iceberg. It is all tied together with the oil in Gaza.

The same men are doing this. We must stand together.

If not, we will all fall together.

I'm not quite clear on this whole issue. From what I've read, Palestine only existed as a territory created by the British in the years following World War 1 after the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) lost it at the treaty of the Versailles . The area, named Palestine by the British was large, and encompassed part of Syria. But it was never a nation until the 1948 United Nations charter which created Israel and Palestine as separate Nations. After Israel declared it's independence backed by the UN, it was attacked by neighboring nations, repeatedly, and took territory in battle. I'm not an expert on the subject, and consider myself well versed than most on the subject in relation to the years 1914-1918. But if Israel and Palestine, were a United Nations Charter, but no Middle Eastern Nation will recognize it's right to exist, (except Egypt) than how can Israel be faulted for holding occupied territory of a Nation that went to war with it, and never signed a peace treaty? I think that if this was done the UN would make sure that Israel and Palestine would have to go to the 1948 borders, and the Palestinians could get more land. However, I'm not clear on who fired first this last time. Some people say it was Hamas firing rockets at Israel, and some say it was Israel with an air strike. Could someone please clarify this for me? As I said, post world war one, I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject.

cheers,
