So today i woke upp late, went for coffee with my girl, then went to a meeting with a mate who wants me to do a radioshow with him. He was all> we can get this guy and that guy and these blokes and that company to sponsor us and then we will play all the crazy shit we like on the show and start a new movement. And im all like yeh and we can have a homepage with chat on it and do the show on the net also and realy comunicate with the listeners, then we can do lots of cool graphics for stickers and stuff and have it awailable on the net and encourage the kids to print it out and as promo for the show and be real culture pirates, steel the litle ones minds and interests, hijack the airwaves from the corporated sellouts who only want to mass market the same song over and over and over again, we can book huge ass gigs that sell out and make loads of cash that we can use to promote our social reject freinds who make strange borderline musik in there mothers basements and, and, and... Lets face it, today everything is based on marketing research. So if you own a radiostation you are compeating for advertisments, the payoff comes in if you can convince companys that you are able to sell there products. So thay want you to cheak what the peaple want to listen to and suprise suprise thay all want to listen to stuff that is already on the tv, on the radion, in the stores. If its not awailable how do thay know if thay like it or not see? So we are faced with a downward spiral of regress in progression. And thay ask you ok so on this radioshow will you be playing popular stuff? So. So if you will not be playing already marketed and popular stuff how are you going to sell advertisments? and we go well its not about selling advertisments, its bloody fucking about playing good tunes and frikking nice stuff for the kids, we want to save souls, liberate, break the cycle, know what i meen? And the marketing expert goes, Not sure i understand the language you are speaking, mind going back to the part where you make us some money... Musikal Radio? Culture? We had a massive good time doing it? Dosent seem to be about that anymore... I wonder when stuff that is not made for profit will become illigal? It seems so dificult to have a voice today even when it should be getting easyer and easyer. Why dont you start your own station someone says and do it probono, scrape together cash for the equipment start out small... Well you need a bloddy licens dont you, if you cant pay loads of cash at start, dont have promises of advertisment income, dont have banking backing then show off your not getting on the radio. I say fuck it lets have a go at it, lets try to get a fucking show in the air, make bold lies about our plans to make money for corporations and if we can get a big enough following we fucking take charge... todays motto is - world domination or death ill keep you posted...
