In the past month our beloved cat Ella, who was thirteen, passed away from lymphoma cancer. It has been very devastating to us, as she was a wonderful cat. So what did we do? We went right out and got a new cat who looks almost like her!
"New Guy" is his temporary name, and he is very mellow and friendly. Even Sylvan, our other elderly male cat who is a crabby-pants, gets along with him. We have been unable to decide on a new name since he has had a cold and we've been waiting to discover his personality, plus he looks so much like Ella it is sometimes odd to look at him and realize it is a different cat. "NG" is 2 years old, loves to eat and snuggle, and aside from the obvious grey fur with white paws and chin/belly, has a white "lightning bolt" mark on one of his hind legs. Thus "Nimbus" is a name option. Houdini is also in the running, since he quickly learned how to escape from his confinement room, and we don't know how he did it!
Jeff is convinced he looks like a wolf he has seen in some cartoon, and I agree, but neither of us can remember what cartoon nor what the wolf's name is. I have tried Googling "grey wolf, white chin", "wolf cartoon", "wolf animation," etc, but can't find it. Does anyone know what we're talking about?
"NG" is also a bit of a spaz. Although he is two, he has giant feet and rather acts more like a gangly puppy than a graceful young cat. If you have any name suggestions let us know, since we'd like to name him but the end of the weekend.
