this magical mystery tour has certainly lived up to its name, and still evolving!

LA to NY ~ fresh from playing two indiegrrl showcases in venice & hollywood before hitting the road, landed 3000 miles later to play a beautiful upright jazz piano at rose live music in brooklyn fri 8/7 and was happy to be greeted by friends and family after too long away...drumming around the city over the weekend then bitter end show mon 8/10 was a blast in west village, great crowd, fantastic set mostly solo on grand piano, though great to be joined by guest instrumentation on three songs from friends drew brody (vocals - Love is The Way, amanda abizaid - Queendom Come & morry campbell - From Here) ~ the show was recorded live and select songs will be released with album ~ then down to DC, with fantastic solo show on grand piano at all souls church 16th st and spontaneous drum collaborations all over town including with tosin from nigeria in dupont circle, on the national mall from washington monument to capitol hill and at meridian hill / malcolm x park in columbia heights, a jazz jam at HR 57, and dropped into mothertongue at the black cat on last night in town a be a special guest feature doing spoken word and a touch of drumming...also played the third largest pipe organ in DC at the Masonic Temple Supreme Council 33 on 16th St and gave impromptu piano concert in Copley Chapel at Georgetown University ~ house concert in hometown of silver spring, maryland ~ so good to be grounded and fun to explore the city during a cosmic star alignment highlghting the constellation virgo (for more about that you must read the blog!)...currently in Nashville, TN for Indiegrrl Conference, have already played 3 showcases and have another tomorrow at 7PM on TryXo Stage (Hotel Preston, Nashville) before heading back to sunset junction street festival playing at mi alma at 4PM - where manzanita & santa monica hit sunset . . . then a few days recording then scheduled to head to burning man to play at center camp on tues sep 1...
