Main roles require 2-3 afternoons or evenings per week of about 4 hours each for 2 months shooting. Will be paid a small fixed sum upon completion of shooting.

Small roles are volunteer positions and require 2-3 afternoons or evenings of rehearsing/shooting (in total) during the entire 2-3 month shooting schedule.

Extras are volunteer positions and will be called as needed for crowd scenes or for smaller scenes requiring costumed extras. These are simple parts that have no lines.

Ethnic background is unimportant for all available parts except German soldiers.

IF Camera operator is needed, he/she must be experienced with the Canon XL series of camera (specifically XL-2) and be available 1-2 afternoons/evenings per week for the 3-4 month shooting schedule. Must be available for pre-production meetings to go over storyboards and detailed discussion with director. Must be able to take direction well and not attempt to "take over" the style of the movie, but at the same time able to bring ideas to the table in a diplomatic fashion. Will be paid a small fixed sum upon completion of shooting.

Main roles:

Barry – (main character) 20-35 year old male. Barry is a struggling writer overcome by stress who begins to crack and suffer hallucinations and nervous breakdowns.

Small roles (volunteer only):

Modern News Anchor – 20-35 year old female, must have powerful and deliberate voice (like a newscaster). One shoot required only.

Modern News reporter – 25-35 year old male, haggard and burned out from the horrors he has been witnessing. One shoot required only.

Modern uniformed police (2) – 20-50 year old male/20-35 year old female police officers who question a robbery victim. 1-2 shoots required.

Hadley – 18-25 year old Canadian WWII soldier, grizzled from the war but still young-looking. Suffers a grisly death. 2 shoots required. Must fit into an existing costume.

Mrs. Fabishum – 40-50 year old female 1940's landlady, frightened, stressed out and crying from the discovery that one of her tenants has been conducting demonic rituals by sacrificing cats. 1-2 shoots required. Should ideally fit into an existing costume, or have an outfit that is appropriate for 1940's wear. Must have hair that can be styled in period fashion (no extremely short hair/Mohawks/dyed bright colours, etc)

German Officer – 30-40 year old male Caucasian WWII soldier who discovers an ancient book of evil. 1 shoot required. Should ideally speak German but not necessary. Must fit into existing costume.

German soldiers (2) – 20-30 year old male Caucasian WWII soldiers who help in the discovery of the ancient book of evil. 1 shoot required. Should ideally speak German but not necessary. Must fit into existing costumes.

1930's Federal Agent – 25-40 year old male 1930's "G-man", a square-jawed type who packs a .45 and fights the forces of evil. 1-2 shoots required. Would be great if he has own suit and hat, but one can be provided.

Modern Paramedic – 20-40 year old male/female, 1 shoot, must fit existing costume

Modern Riot cops (3-4) – 20-40 year old burly males, 1-3 shoots, must fit existing costumes (fairly large)

1930's cops (2) – 25-40 year old males, 1-3 shoots, must be clean-cut and clean-shaven and fit existing costumes

1930's federal agents (2-3) – 25-40 year old males, 1-3 shoots, must be clean-cut and clean-shaven, square-jawed, and fit existing costumes (or else have own suits)

Modern civilians (3-5) – 18-40 year old male/females who get beaten up by riot cops

Modern crazed civilians (10-30) – 18-40 year old civilians who have gone crazy and are running amok, covered in blood, killing everyone in their path

Undead cultists (3-5) – 18-40 year old male/females who wear black hooded robes, have decomposed faces and worship a grotesque otherdimensional entity. (Must be OK with makeup prosthetics)

1930's/1940's period enthusiasts who have their own costumes and can style their own hair (especially women) and would like to appear in various period scenes and photographs

ALSO SEEKING:

- pre-1947 period automobiles in running condition that can appear in short scenes. Some scenes can be shot at the owner's home inside the car by setting up a black backdrop so no moving the vehicle would be required.
