I am sitting in the Borders café with
my trusty IBM thinkpad writing a quiet scene for Rise and Walk:
Pathogen. I am a little tired so my girlfriend Christy scored me a
half-caff, 'cuz I don't handle full-strength coffee well anymore.
She is here next to me throwing down some Photoshop magic on her
laptop. I was just doing some thinking from the point of view of one
of my characters when I looked up and saw out over the book store.
The thought of all those books moved me to consider what I am working
on. Rise and Walk has sold almost fourteen hundred books so far
through Lulu, Createspace, and Amazon Kindle; way more than I ever
dreamed. I am so grateful to the generous readers who have checked
out Rise and Walk. I get messages on Facebook and My Space asking
about the sequels and feel an immense responsibility to get the work
just right. There are a lot of books out there. I gotta get mine
finished...
