If you brought Beethoven and Edgar Allen Poe back to life, handed them a couple of pens and guitars, they might sound something like Last House On The Left. Intelligently dark and poetic with equal elements of elegance and edge. It's not just another metal album by any means. This album is a work of genius.
Just as each song is its own story created somewhere deep within the imagination the listener is truly taken 'somewhere else' through each composition. These songs move the soul and the imagination to reflect upon that deep dark place within that most strive to deny exists.
Every note and every space is perfectly placed. They seem to have developed a triumphant formula for the welding of amazing technicality and rhythmic listenability that you don't often find in this genre.
Each song is so multi-dimensional and transfixing, not only will you listen to the album straight through, but you'll be continuously turning up the volume as well. This is truly an album to be excited about.
Favorite Track: 5 Some Like To Bleed- Was that a banjo!? Classic example of what it sounds like to have a perfect line up.
