KAT 5 is named after Hurricane Katrina, and catagory 5 storms, symbolizing any disaster. Kat 5 Animal Rescue is a grassroots, non-profit corporation designed for the protection of animals, intervening to protect animals when a natural or man-made disaster strikes. Our actions are both proactive and reactive in nature and include the following: * Dispatch for pet owners * Dispatch for ground rescuers to physically rescue animals * Soliciting supplies and funds for specific immediate needs and dispersal of the same reliable and safe animal placement with transport away from the endangered area * Support of spay/neuter events * Shelter intervention programs * Medical funding for sick or abused animals in need Shop with a purpose!
