Panic Room picked up the award for BEST NEW BAND at the 2008 Classic Rock Society Awards held on Saturday, 10th January.  Anne-Marie, Paul & myself attended the event where we were presented with the award by former Genesis guitarist, Steve Hackett.

The award is very special to us as it's voted for by the listening public - so we must be doing something right!  Thanks to everyone who voted for us.  Anne-Marie was also placed 2nd in the Best Female Vocalist category.

PS. Don't forget you can catch Panic Room's 1st home-town gig on 30th January at The Garage in the Uplands, Swansea which will be a very special evening as we'll be joined onstage by the wonderful Liz Prendergast of Bluehorses who played all the amazing violin parts on our album.  We can't wait!

We were hoping to win the 'Oldest Cumulative Ages in a band' category but Naz spoiled it by dropping it by 20years.Bugger! Anyway llongyfarchiadau i chi gyd(as we say in this part of Bucks) - richly deserved and we hope to hook up again in 2009.(BTW that's 'congratulations' to your English friends...)
