Current mood:charitable

We get so many requests I thought I'd post a FAQ here.

1. I'm a producer.  Please listen to my songs and…..

We're a production team.  We're not looking for any more producers right now.

2. What do you look for in an artist?

Sexy people, and freaks mostly.  ::: smile :::

The fact of the matter is we don't know what we're looking for until we hear it…. Some general guidelines are R&B..Pop singers between the ages of 17-22.  Writers MUST sing.  If you write, but don't have the ability to record your ideas professionally we won't take you on.

That said if you're HOT hit us up anyway….

Dedication  If you record 4 songs per year (or month for that matter) you're not ready for us.  To you this is still a hobby.  When I was learning to play piano I practiced 5-10 hrs per day for 10 solid years.  I remember waking up at 4, or 5 am so that I could put in an hour or two before school.  Only after at least 4 hours or so was I allowed to play for pleasure.  Most of my time was spent working on my weaknesses and stuff that I didn't enjoy.  If you want to be great this is what it takes.  You are not a star… Lose the ego and grind.

You must have a look.  Everything is competition and you gotta' be a stunner!  So let's say you're not Beyonce, or Brad Pitt. Get in the gym trim down, dress nice, and talk nice.  SHOW business.  Get it?  People want something to look at.  If you're repulsive ::: grin ::: shower up, see a hair..makup stylist, get a manicure, and let someone with good fashion sense pick out some new clothes… If not THE LOOK have A LOOK….

Swagger.  Captivating, exciting, fascinating, intriguing, enchanting… You're a crazy mf...  (not loony or loopy).

If these are some of the words your friends and colleagues use to describe you then you my friend have swagger!  This is one of the main components necessary for stardom.  The "IT" factor.  If you're swagger is Waaaaay up you almost don't need talent.  That's the biz!

Lastly… Talent!  Yeah… You still need some of that.  A gifted artist would be nice for a change.  Most of the artists today survive on pure swagger though. Everybody loves a star.  Especially one that works to PERFECT their craft.  It's insane how many singers I come across that sing all the time but never thought to take voice training, and singing lessons.

3. Can you get me a record deal?

Yes and no.  You get yourself a deal.  We have Major connections and know WHO to submit What to.  We help prepare you to impress them.  If you take 2 months to get it done so be it.  If you take 3 years we won't waste our time…  You have to want it…. I can't stress that enough.  The hungriest hustlers get the check.  I don't care how talented you are if you're too laid back and take forever preparing your package you aren't cut out for the biz.  This is a HIGHLY COMPETETIVE field.  The squeaky hinge gets the oil.

4. I have no money can you….

Nope!  You have to have something.  If you're poor get a job and stack your chips.  Hustle like everyone else.  We're not spending a dime.  In fact you should ASK what the professional rates are when you find someone in the biz trying to help you.

You don't expect to perform for free when you make it do you?  Many of the pro's in this industry work harder and have more ridiculous bills trying to keep up the lifestyle.  It's stressful and demanding.  Imagine having to buy an estate with a pool, even if you don't swim so that you can entertain guests.  So don't believe the hype.  Many of the people that you meet who do this are in deep credit debt. You think you've got stress?  Just the biz…

Now I probably shouldn't out myself here but I may not be the richest, but I'm almost completely debt free!!!  Also I tend to be the one who will work for almost nothing if I think you have "it" factor; however, if I see you slacking and wasting my time I'll throw you back to the wolves.  It is not a game.

5. I'm just starting out and

You're not ready for us….  Stick with it kid…

Advice is free though.  Drop us a line and if we have time (we frequently work 17-20 hrs per day).  we'll try to point you in the right direction.

Hope this is helpful to all... Many Pro's will agree these are good guidlines.
