Here ya go!:

Art Contest:

We in Flatfoot like to just go wild and crazy sometimes - you should see Danny doing wall sits while he's on the horn making deals and watching the market! Now is one of those crazy times.

Our 4th full-length album "Wild Was Our Mercy" will come out on vinyl sometime in the next few weeks. Shawn and Ryan, the suits from Los Diaper Records, had the great idea of buying plain record jackets and using a single color to silk-screen the art by hand on the front and back. That's where you come in.

We want you to submit your ideas for the artwork.
Here are the specifics

Front
For the front, we envision the text simply as "Wild Was Our Mercy" and "Flatfoot", possibly with an image of some sort.
Some different ideas we've had for the cover include the outline of a chess knight such as this: http://www.knightsrestaurants.com/
a medieval-era woodcutting or Benjamin West's painting "The Death of Wolfe"

With only a single color to work with, I suppose "The Death of Wolfe" is out…

Back
All we really for the back is a list of the songs, divided into sides A and B. Lyrics, credits, etc. will go on an insert.
Here are the songs:

Side A
Blueblood
Our Island Life
I'm Your Man!
Manowar
Kathleen
Leviathan

Side B
Big Dan
Oh My God
Don't Leave Queens
Peloponnesia
New Rome
The Crawl

The artist we select will receive not much: our eternal gratitude, a few copies of the final record, publicity and recognition, permanent status on our guest list and possibly a little money.

Sounds like fun? Then get crackin'!

We need to have all art submissions by Sunday, December 14. Email your ideas to flatfootmusic@gmail.com We have some latitude in the color of the jacket and the ink, but I can't guarantee anything. If you'd like to hear some of the songs on the record, go to either www.myspace.com/flatfoot or www.facebook.com/18383193698. For audiophiles who dislike the sound quality on those sites, email us and we'll figure out a way for you to hear the songs.

Thanks,
Aaron

ps: the Los Diaper guys added this:  "check it out and check out their jams and see if you can help. also, los diaper will throw in any left over diaper titles, random crap, and any flatfoot stuff that's still around for whoever can cough up something we might use."

I guess it's too late, but Jethro Tull's 'Stand Up' would have been good reference
