Sonic Unyon To Release "The Ones I Condemn" Oct. 27th In Canada


Sonic Unyon have announced that they will be releasing the brand new album by one of Canada's most important and innovative metal bands of all time.

Canadian thrash metal legends SACRIFICE will release their first new album in more than fifteen years on October 27th on Sonic Unyon in Canada. Entitled The Ones I Condemn, the album was recorded at Toronto's Rouge Valley Studios last winter by the band and Darius Szczepaniak. It features the original line up of the band: Rob Urbinati - vocals, guitar; Joe Rico - guitar; Scott Watts - bass; Gus Pynn - drums. Released by the Brazilian-based Marquee Records this summer, Sonic Unyon will release a domestic Canadian version of the album, ensuring that it will be available in retails stores nationwide in their home country.

"Canada has always been great to Sacrifice," says guitarist Rob Urbinati about the agreement. "We are extremely happy to have Sonic Unyon behind us in our home country. Everyone at the label is as excited about the release of The Ones I Condemn as we are and we look forward to working together."

After reuniting for a sold out performance at Toronto's Opera House in 2007, the band decided to reconvene and record a new studio album. Containing ten new original songs, the Canadian version of the album will also contain an exclusive bonus track of the band's cover of the RUSH classic 'Anthem'. The album also contains guest appearances by Jed Simon (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, TENET, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY) and Dave Hewson (SLAUGHTER, STRAPPADO) on the song ''The Devil's Martyr.'

To celebrate the album's release in Canada, Sacrifice will be playing two special release shows. They will play Winnipeg's Garrick Centre on November 7th and Toronto's Opera House on November 21st.
